Features and applications of T-shaped magnetic cores

Magnetic core refers to a sintered magnetic metal oxide composed of various iron oxide mixtures. Ferrite core is a kind of high-frequency magnetic material (the principle is the same as that of silicon steel sheet, but used in high-frequency environment), mainly used as high-frequency transformer (like switching power supply, line output transformer, etc.), high-frequency magnetic ring ( Anti-interference use) and so on. Ferrite core is made of dense and homogeneous ceramic structure non-metallic magnetic material, with low coercivity, also known as soft ferrite.

Magnetic cores can be divided into manganese-zinc ferrite and nickel-zinc ferrite. Manganese-zinc ferrite has the characteristics of high magnetic permeability and high magnetic flux density, and has the characteristics of low loss. Nickel-zinc ferrite has the characteristics of extremely high resistivity and low permeability of less than a few hundred.

Ferrite cores are used in coils and transformers of various electronic devices. T-shaped cores are a type of ferrite cores.

The characteristics of T-type magnetic core: large output current, low loss, withstand voltage, high inductance and low price. However, the winding cost is high and it is difficult to mass produce.

The use of T-type magnetic core: choke coil, EMI/RFI filter, audio transformer, widely used in all kinds of energy-saving lamps, audio, control circuits and other electronic equipment.
